I had to find a HTML editor for my Mac because the default plain text editor called TextEdit would not open HTML documuments and display the code. TextEdit would open the document in the same way as a web browser. What a pain!

Now I use use this 100% FREE HTML Editor for Mac called TextWrangler.

TextWrangler does what it's told and does not bloat the code. It is an excellent Plain Text Editor as well a great Programmers Editor.

The TextWrangler user interface makes it easy to read the code I am editing because it uses different colors to display different codes.

TextWrangler is not one of those WYSIWYG web design applications which means it will not bloat the code.

A very handy tool indeed!
